The first team opened the scoring mid way through the first half. A Tom Broughton corner was met by Cooke with a header that looped over the keeper and defenders into the net.
At half time Cardea first's did their bit for "care in the community" when they brought Jake Hammond onto the pitch for a run-out.
Penman added the second goal on the hour mark. The ball was cut back to Cooke who's shot was stopped on the line by Rich Kay, Cooke then headed the rebound against the post and Penman rifled in the loose ball.
Moment later reserves captain Kay stopped the third goal with a great challenge. Michael Creek worked himself into a one on one with Andy Yeomans in the reserves goal, but Kay produced a fantastic last ditch challenge to keep the score at 2-0.
Up the other end Gav Sampson pulled off a couple of good saved to deny Kieran Hart but picked up an injury and Adam Simons had to take the gloves for the remainder of the match.
Gav Earl didn't do the new keeper any favours in the 80th minute when he sold him short with a back pass and Hart nipped in to head home.
The two goal cushion was restored in the last five minutes when Cooke met a Ryan Moore corner with a powerful header into the top of the net to seal the win for the first team.
The game finished 3-1 and both teams will take positives from the game.
