The game didn't start well for Dreams Academy with Shane Cooke scoring in the first minute and they never had a chance to recover after Aaron Yeoman scored direct from a free kick 2 minutes later.
Kieron Mckenna added two good goals to make it 4-0 after 30 minutes.
Giglio scored his first after 34 minutes and it wasn't long before he grabbed his second 4 minutes later.
Luke Penman got the goal his first half link up play deserved when Giglio turned provider to make it 7-0 at half time.
After the break Giglio and Penman shared 3 goals in 6 minutes to complete their hat-tricks.
Daniel Robinson smashed in goal 11 after being found by a Mark Frisby cross. Yeoman added his second of the game with a well struck shot which hit the underside of the bar and bounced into the net.
Penman and Giglio rounded off the scoring with another goal a piece to take their tally to 4 goals each and the total to 14-0.
The games will get harder for the Division 2 champions but it was a good effort with several individuals turning in great performances. Giglio took the man of the match award.
Next up for Cardea is a game next Sunday against Parkside Athletic, who won Division 4 last season.
