

From the first whistle, Stanground Cardea controlled possession, tempo and territory, delivering a ruthless first-half display that left the visitors with no way back.

The hosts weren’t finished. On the brink of half-time, George Staggs produced a moment of pure quality, scoring directly from a corner, curling the ball in at the far post to send Stanground Cardea in at the break 4–0 and cruising.

The Oakham keeper produced two outstanding saves early in the second half to deny a determined Ryley Nicholson-Barfoot, briefly stemming the tide. But Cardea continued to dictate play and, eventually, the fifth arrived.
In the 80th minute, Charlie Webb, surging forward from left-back, overlapped brilliantly before drilling a low strike through the keeper to seal his brace and make it 5–0.
The scoring was completed five minutes from time. In the 85th minute, Trey West unleashed a stunning 25-yard strike into the top corner, a goal worthy of any highlight reel, making it 6–0 and marking his third goal in three matches—a fine personal run of form.
