The Covid pandemic which curtailed the previous season saw Cardea miss out on promotion by 0.04 points when the season was decided using PPG.
The promotion means Cardea have been promoted in every season we have played in the PDFL, having only entered a Saturday team just 4 years ago in 2016.
First team manager Matthew Robinson said: "Both myself and the players are buzzing to have been promoted to the Prem for the upcoming season.
"With the way the season finished we were gutted to not have had the remaining fixtures to push the top couple of teams in the league and earn promotion ourselves. We were even more gutted to find that we had missed out by such a small margin on PPG but that’s football and thankfully (and fortunately) we have been given a chance now to show it’s the level we should be playing at.
"This promotion makes it 4 out of 4 in my years as manager but it is the players who deserve the praise. The group is largely the same and they have stepped up to the challenge of a new division every year. Let’s hope they can do it again and we can cause a few shocks next season."
The club can also confirm they have secured an agreement with Yaxley FC to use their grass pitch which passed a step 7 inspection in March this year. We have also become an associate club of the Southern League side.
