Manager Dan Chamberlain and assistant Louie Cooper missed the game due to holidays and work so first team assistant manager Dan Gibbs managed the game against his former club.
With usual goalkeeper Bradley Kirchin out injured Cardea called on the multi time Creek D’Or winner Michael Creek to make his first appearance between the sticks in 3 years.
Also making his first appearance of the season and starting in central midfield was Chris Carter who provided the assist for the opening goal in the 12th minute, finding Ollie Goymour in the box and the winger finished well.
Alex Goymour was inches away from the doubling the lead but his well struck shot hit the post and bounced back so it was down to his brothers to combine a couple of minutes later with Ollie finding Dom to make it 2-0.
At the other end a freak deflection provided Orton with a great chance which they took to cut the Cardea lead.
Alex Goymour had to make way as half time approached as his delicate hamstring let him down, Nick Redhead coming on to replace him.
Redhead was straight into the action picking out striker Callum Hunt who took advantage of a goalkeeper error to fire into the empty net.
Cardea then produced a brilliant finish to the half scoring 3 goals in the last 5 minutes. In the 40th minute Norris played a through ball which Dom Goymour ran onto and finished well, then a couple of minutes later Dom turned provider playing in Ollie to score his second of the game.
On the stroke of half time Ollie Goymour ran down the left wing and crossed the ball across the area to Redhead who smashed the ball into the top corner. A great finish to end a great half for the away side.

The second half continued as the first half ended as Ollie Goymour sent in a corner for Dom to head home for his hat-trick.
Dom turned provider midway through the half when he played in Hunt who struck the ball past the keeper to make it 8-1.
A couple of minutes later a terrific run into the area by Giuseppe Spataro sat the keeper down and Dom Goymour pounced to tap in his fourth.
Orton pulled a goal back but as the game headed into stoppage time Dom Goymour scored his fifth after being played in by Redhead.
FT: Orton Rangers Reserves 2-10 Cardea Reserves
A great bounce back win for the reserves after last week’s tight defeat to Stanground, Dom Goymour picked up the man of the match award for his 5 goals and 2 assists.
Next up for the reserves is a cup game away at Premiair Reserves in the Peterborough Challenge Cup.
