New year blues

Our first game back didn't go according to plan with Anne Ruby, earning the title donut of the day, by going to the wrong venue and having to be collected by Hayley Rees. Park came out on top of the early encounters and made it 1-0 early on in the first half. Phoebe Deidda pulled one back soon after from an excellent flick through from strike partner Courtney Coles!
Then started 30 minutes of mistakes, miss kicks, failure to control the ball and by half time we were 4-1 down!

HT Cardea 1 - 4 Park Ladies

Second half saw a change of shape, and a slight change of fortune! With Emma Porsz moved more central to help sure up the midfield and give the team a bit more going forwards. This switch helped after Anne Ruby scored to make it 4-2 and Cardea were looking good to fight their way back in to the game! But Park restored their 3 goal lead within a couple of minutes after Cardea failed to organise themselves correctly and went 5-2 down! Emma Porsz managed to get a goal that her performance deserved to make it 5-3 but it was to no avail as that's how the score remained to full time!

At full time head coach Daniel Gibbs 'we wasn't good enough today, no other way to put it really!'

Player of the match was awarded to Emma Porsz for a fantastic performance through out the game!

Next week Cardea ladies travel to play...Park Ladies! ?
