This Saturday sees Cardea and Whaplode Drove face up against each other in the PDFL Division 2 with a 2pm kick off at Parson's Lane, PE12 0GB.

The fixture will be the 5th time in history that these two have come up against each, both of which claiming 2 wins and a combined 30 goals, Whaplode edging that contest 17-13.

Both of Whaplode's wins were claimed in 2016/17 season, Cardea's debut season, winning 6-1 and 5-4. This means Cardea's come in 2017/18 season on the way to winning the league title, both teams winning promotion in consecutive years.

In Division 2 this time out, Whaplode haven't had the greatest start, winning only 1 of their first 6 and currently sitting only 1 place above bottom side Spalding Athletic and will be looking to bounce back after last weeks 4-1 loss to Langtoft United Reserves and claim another win with the possibility of jumping 3 places into 9th, depending on the result of those around them.

Cardea however, have began well, despite losing the first game of the season to title favorites Stilton United, the Peterborough side have won 5 and drawn 1 so they will be looking to claim another 3 points against a wounded Whaplode, bouncing back from last weeks Hunts Junior Cup defeat whilst hoping Premiair can halt Rippingale & Folkingham to give the opportunity to go up to 2nd in the league.
