After an even opening 30 minutes of the game Cardea struck a quick fire double to go in 2-0 at half time.
Kieran Hart scored the first as his cross into the box deceived the keeper who could only divert it into his own net.
Two minutes later, Giles Abban held the ball up well on halfway and played a perfect pass for Thomas Klinkovics to round the keeper and double the lead.
Into the second half both teams had chances but the Cardea backline held strong to deny City a way back into the game until the 80th minute when the home side scored.
This goal sparked Cardea back into life and new signing Josh Staggs was set free down the right and he ran into the box and Klinkovics arrived to grab his second of the game.
Deep into stoppage time the game was put beyond all doubt when reserves captain Mitch Tomkin scored from inside the box to make it 4-1.
A fantastic away performance from Cardea on the Yaxley 4G and a quarter final against S Ives Reserves awaits in early December.
It's cup action again next week as we travel to Wittering Premiair Reserves in the Peterborough Challenge Cup.
